I also pulled out my copy of Practice Resurrection for the season and have been blessed, too, by the memory from Winn Collier’s EP bio of Peterson writing in his journal about his desire to be “a saint.”
So intrigued by the book recommendation and adding it to my list!
Loved this, Jen. What a gem to read and learn more about Karen. I’ve been a fan of her work since reading « The Minister’s Wife » and have been looking forward to « Holiness Here » (preordered weeks ago 😁!). This interview was so meaty, and also so lovely. Thank you for doing it.
I have the ARC sitting on my shelves waiting for a few minutes to sit and read. It's been a nuts seasons so I think it will have to wait for the summer, but the cover is so lovely and peaceful, I've been anticipating it!
I loved this—and stopped to re-read it a few times before going on:
“What would it be like to think of holiness as a warm invitation from God, who loves us and delights in us and wants us to lead an adventurous life of faith, which will involve loving other people as well as we can?”
So looking forward to reading this.
It’s wonderful!
"What does it really mean to be holy?" is a question I've often asked myself, so I thank you for the book recommendation!
You’re welcome!
