I’m reading in Ezekiel and teaching through Habakkuk, so I can’t possibly miss the message that God is at work even in dark times—even when he answers my prayers with the very thing I don’t want. I wonder if I will ever make peace with the truth that deliverance may look like the Chaldean army and exile is actually rescue?
I’m reading through Genesis and the dysfunctional family dynamics in Jacob’s story is hitting me anew. I’m processing to later share on my Substack. I’ve been so moved realizing just how much God used such messy aweful circumstances for His purposes and the blessing of His people. I feel deeply grateful and hopeful in a new way!
I’m reading the Gospel of John and loving how it illuminates so many of these OT treasures. I’m also very glad to hear you’re recovering your fortitude for writing (and maybe publishing?) after a period of frustration and doubt.
