Ever so grateful for your long obedience, as God uses your good words to affrim truth in my own heart. We--who follow Jesus and trade in syllables :) - -bear witness of his wisdom at work, and thus pour encouragement in others' lives, with this witness. Thank you, Jen🙏🤎
Excellent Jen. In this age of urgency and immediate gratification scant attention is paid to one of Paul's important (the verb is comparatively frequent) and seemingly underwhelming exhortations--namely, "stand!" or, as the NIV nicely translates, "stand firm!" (e.g., Eph.6:14). Perhaps instead of asking, "what are you doing these days?" we should ask, "How are you standing these days?" In my own life, my early ambitions have been increasingly, and sometimes painfully, supplanted by this benign and yet dynamic goal of simply "standing firm."
God has been teaching me a lot lately on the significance of the step-by-step building of good, lasting things through patient waiting & faithfulness, so this piece came at a great time. Thank you for sharing 🤍
Wonderful letter, Jen! And as usual, I must pull a quote for my commonplace journal. Thank you!
Hooray for your commonplace journal! Stand firm!
I started following Post Script a couple of months ago and it's been very meaningful reading to me. Thank you so much for your words!
Welcome, Ellie! Grateful for your encouragement. Thank you!

I love this reflection, Bill! Thanks for adding this to the conversation.

In good time, right? Which is to say in God's perfect time!
